Phule Postponed: New Release Date Announced for Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa Starrer

Ananth Mahadevan’s film Phule, which chronicles the lives of Jyotirao Phule and his wife Savitri Phule, has been rescheduled to release on April 25, instead of this Friday. Producer Ritesh Kudecha confirmed the delay, stating, “Yes, the film has been postponed to April 25. We made the decision this morning.”As a result, the spotlight now shifts to two upcoming releases: Sunny Deol’s Jaat and Gippy Grewal’s Akaal: The Unconquered, both set to hit theaters on Thursday, April 10.
In Akaal, Gippy Grewal collaborates with Karan Johar to co-produce an action-packed epic that emphasizes valor and nationalism. The film is expected to resonate strongly in Punjab while also appealing to audiences beyond the region. Gippy has yet to make a significant impact outside Punjab, but Akaal aims to change that.On the other hand, Jaat is already generating buzz, having been pre-sold to Sunny Deol’s loyal audience, who anticipate another blockbuster akin to Gadar, complete with stylized action sequences.
Sunny is well-cast as a justice broker and is joined by a strong supporting cast, including Viineet Kumar Siingh and Randeep Hooda. Viineet is currently enjoying success following his performance in Chhaava, and he has been added to an item song alongside Urvashi Rautela as a nod to his rising popularity. Meanwhile, Hooda is set to showcase his versatility, transitioning from the noble Veer Savarkar to the menacing villain Varadaraja Ranatunga in Jaat. Both films are poised to be standout releases, with Jaat and Akaal promising to deliver strong performances. It’s a competition between Sunny and Gippy—may the best Punjabi win!
