“People Are Idle”: Bobby Deol Rubbishes Rumors of a Set Clash With Alia Bhatt on Alpha

Actor Bobby Deol has fired back at viral online rumors claiming he had a major fallout with co-star Alia Bhatt on the sets of Yash Raj Films’ upcoming action tentpole, Alpha. The speculation, which spread rapidly across social media platforms over recent weeks, alleged that backstage tension was brewing between the two stars. Deol has now firmly shut down the narrative, labeling it entirely fabricated.

Speaking directly to India TV, the veteran actor expressed his own bewilderment when he first discovered the viral claims.

Bobby Deol: “A friend of mine sent me a snapshot of that rumor. I was astonished myself. People are so idle (log itne velle hai) that they will write and make up absolutely anything.”

High Praise for Alia Bhatt’s Professionalism

Deol completely dismissed the negative online discourse, shifting the focus instead to Bhatt’s work ethic and intense physical preparation for the gritty, female-led action thriller.

Deol emphasized that Alia came completely prepared for the heavy, demanding stunt choreography and fight sequences required for her character. He described her as a highly professional and deeply dedicated actress, noting that their actual working relationship was seamless. Deol warned fans against believing curated internet drama, stating, “I can’t go around proving the point to anybody. So it is not true. People remain heavily influenced by Instagram, but 90 percent of the stories on it are completely false.”

Alpha’s Strategic Box Office Realignment

The action entertainer, directed by Shiv Rawail, represents a major tonal shift for the YRF Spy Universe, which has already yielded massive blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger, War, and Pathaan.

The project has recently seen a highly tactical adjustment to its theatrical rollout schedule. Originally locked in for a July 10, 2026 premiere, Bollywood Hungama reports that the producers have officially advanced the release date by a week to July 3, 2026. The move was made to seize a completely open multiplex window after the comedy sequel Dhamaal 4 vacated the slot and deferred its own release to July 17.
