Pearl V Puri’s lawyer confirms that he has been granted bail in alleged rape case
Ever since Actor Pearl V Puri has been arrested in connection with a rape case of a minor. Since then the case has seen many twists and turns. While the victim’s mother has revealed that the actor is innocent, the case has been filed by the actor’s father and he demanded strict actions against Pearl.
The actor was under judicial custody for the same. The actor’s lawyers made many attempts to acquire bail for the actor but they failed. And now as per the latest reports, the actor’s lawyer has been granted bail. He was quoted as saying, “Yes, he has been granted bail by the Vasai Sessions Court.”
The incident happened on the sets of Ekta Kapoor’s Bepanah Pyaar Hai. Minor’s father claimed that Pearl along with a few others sexually assaulted his daughter while her mother was busy shooting.
A part of the note that the minor’s mother and her extended family wrote reads, “We as the extended family would like to let you all know that she (minor’s mother) has been in an extremely toxic marriage for 10 years and does not have her daughter also since 2 years. We including her support Pearl V Puri and hope that justice will come out soon. She is totally shattered and shall find her ground to come out in the open. She needs your support fully as she herself supports Pearl Puri because Pearl is innocent.”
After his arrest DCP of Vasai Sanjay Kumar Patil who is handling this alleged rape case. During the press conference, Patil was asked about Ekta Kapoor claiming that the accusations made on Pearl are false. “No, the accusations are not false. His name has come up in the investigation. There is evidence against him. That is why the police have arrested him. The truth will be decided in the trial,” he said.
