PataakhaTwo films released this Friday – Pataakha and Sui Dhaaga. The latter did well for obvious reasons, however, Pataakha remained slow and low at the box office for the obvious reasons. Vishal Bhardwaj again had to face the debacle of another film in B Town after his last movie Rangoon fell flat over the box office despite having good star value and other things. This time the filmmaker returned with something unique and interesting story of two rural sisters who are always fighting keeping Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz in the lead roles. The film however did the business the way it had expected in the B Town.

As per the trade experts and pundits, for films like Patakhaa, there seemed too low buzz in the media, which failed to attract the audience to the theatres. Otherwise, Vishal Bhardwaj film could have scored something over the box office. Nevertheless, the content of the film seemed different and the performances of most of the actors were good to score well over the box office. Now, talking about the way the film has performed over the box office, the film did a poor show and there were two reasons – the first one comes in the form of Sui Dhaaga, which was a better option for the audience to catch and second reason was the Asia Cup Final match.Pataakha trailer

Sui Dhaaga had better buzz as compared to the other film, whilst Pataakha had little. Hence the difference was pretty inevitable. As per reports, the first day box office collection for Patakaakha reached to around 1.5 crore, which is still a decent figure considering the low buzz and other factors. Now, if the movie is able to develop a decent buzz in the media in the coming few days or during the weekend, it would certainly going to score. However, looking at the current pictures, things are not rosy hence, the collection will not go up. One can expect the film to score 5 to 7 crore at the end of the first weekend. Stay tuned to know more on this.

Although Jeetu Likhar grew up with strict parents and was never allowed to have videogames or consoles at home, his relationship with gaming started at a young age through social interactions at gaming centres and his friends houses. With the advent of social media and the internet, he fell in love with gaming and movies even more because of how strong the bond of the online community was. Although now he is married with two kids, a beautiful job, and a comfortable job at a bank, gaming will always hold a special place in his heart.
