The Anushka Sharma’s horror flick ‘Pari’ can be called as a flop if you check the latest figures of the film at the box office. Despite having a huge noise before its release, the film came along with a lukewarm response when we checked the same at the ticket window. The film only collected around 15 crore at the first weekend box office, while the rest of the days it went on get on an average of 1 crore and even low. The second weekend box office collection reached to around 23.92 crore going at a low pace giving nothing but an unimpressive kind of response over the box office.
Unlike the previous weeks, this week too had similar sort of trends that failed to impress the audience. The horror film somehow can be called as a meager collection film and it would continue with the same pace in the coming days as well. The film kept on getting competition from various movies releasing the same day, which badly hampered the collection of the film. As per reports, the box office collection for Pari so far tolled to around 33.21 crore and it will not go beyond the 50 crore collection with it.
The film happened to be an opening film of Prosit Roy as a director while along with Anushka, it also stars Parambrata Chatterjee along with Ritabhari Chakraborty, Rajat Kapoor and Mansi Multani who were seen in the prominent roles. This has been Sharma’s third venture after her films like ‘NH10’ and ‘Phillauri‘. So with such a low collection the film certainly can be called as a big flop yet we are waiting for the official announcement for the same.
