The Anushka Sharma’s yet another film backed with ghostly scripts seems to be running off the track when we check the film’s performance at the box office. With average reviews from a majority of the critics, this supernatural horror film seemed to have failed to spell over the audience as welll. Also, it was released on the eve of Holi release and was expected to do a decent business and it was great time to sell the film at the ticket counters but things went otherwise. Despite having the long weekend, the film Pari simply managed to get a meager collection at the box office in its first three days.
The film collected around a total of Rs 9.83 crore in the 1st two days of its release, however, on Sunday there was some amount of increase at the box office. So, as per reports, the 1st weekend box office collection for Pari reached to around 15 crore. Though the film has gained a good amount of applauds for the performance of the actress, while talking about the story and screenplay, the film has been castigated a lot. The film was directed by Prosit Roy while the actors in the lead roles seemed okay including Parambrata Chatterjee and Rajat Kapoor in the significant roles.
Talking about its performance rest of the week, the film is expected to get an average collection and it will be expected to collection not more than 25 crore at the box office. The film had some competition from others but they remained low profile films in many ways. This is the reason why the film failed to perform. In fact, there is a problem with horror movies and the way these perform would be a problem though. Thus one can expect a collection of around 8 to 10 crore. Let’s see how things the way the film performed.
