Pardesh Mein Hai Meraa Dil is an upcoming daily soap, which is directed by Neraj Baliyan and produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms. It is a five day TV show, which will be aired at the prime time at the popular channel Star Plus while the star cast include Drashti Dhami as Naina, Arjun Bijlani as Raghav, Laksh Lalwani, Ashish Kaul, Surekha Sikri, Manish Khanna, Alka Amin and Additi Gupta in the lead roles. The film is loosely based on the Shah Rukh Khan starrer movie of 1997 called Pardes. The TV show is directed by Neeraj Baliyan.
Talking about the plot, as said the daily soap is based on the film Pardes released in 1997, the story flows the similar way. Drashti is the simple Indian girl who is all set to get marry Laksh Lalwani as per the wishes of their parents. The entire match making is carried out Shaleen who actually reprise the character of SRK. Neel who happens to be a spoilt brat of NRI creates problems demanding the girl to have pre-parital sex and other things, which is impossible for a simple Indian girl, so what happens next is interesting to catch as there are a couple of changes being made by the director to make things unique for the daily soap.
