Parasparam is ruling Asianet Channel since its beginning in the year 2013. The serial is a different take on the Malayali household wherein the daughter in law of the family is an IPS officer. Deepti, the leading character struggled hard to study and achieve her dream of becoming IPS officer. She faced initial resistance from her in laws and other jealous members of her family. Despite of the struggle Deepti studied and went for training and passed all levels with flying colors to become an IPS officer. Her husband Sooraj is very loving and supportive towards her ideals. In the household Deepti faces the scheming younger daughter in law Meenakshi who is not only jealous but also cunning. She makes schemes to become a favorite among the family members while she tries to drives Deepti away.
The story has now progressed. Deepti’s mother in law Padmavati has created drifts between herself and her husband, Sooraj’s father now. Padmavati in supporting her youngest son and providing him financial support has created unrest among family members. Meenakshi’s cunning ways are about to land her in big trouble. Deepti stands as a support to her husband and other family members. She juggles between her family responsibilities and her duty towards her society.
