Review
Param Sundari introduces a new on-screen couple—Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor—and the result is pure magic. Their undeniable chemistry elevates this light-hearted, modern love story, which beautifully blends the quirks of contemporary dating with the timeless essence of romance.
The film centers on Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a Delhi-based entrepreneur who’s challenged by his quirky father (Sanjay Kapoor) to use a new dating app he’s investing in to find true love in 30 days. This mission leads him to Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a woman from Kerala who trusts her heart over algorithms. Their initial clashes quickly turn into a genuine, slow-burning romance.
Director Tushar Jalota masterfully keeps the narrative light and authentic, giving the leads plenty of space to build a believable connection. Sidharth Malhotra shines as Param, balancing confidence with vulnerability and showing impressive comedic timing. However, it’s Janhvi Kapoor who steals the show with her most nuanced performance to date. As Sundari, she’s witty, warm, and utterly captivating.
The supporting cast is also stellar. Sanjay Kapoor provides top-notch comic relief as the father, while Manjot Singh and Inayat Verma add delightful charm. The film is a visual treat, contrasting the slick, urban setting of Delhi with the lush, serene landscapes of Kerala.
The music is another major highlight. Tracks like “Pardesiya” and “Bheegi Saree” are energetic, while “Chand Kagaz Ka” and “Sunn Mere Yaar Ve” are beautifully emotional. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Param Sundari is a feel-good film crafted with heart. It’s a charming, fun, and emotionally honest story that reminds us that genuine love still thrives, even in a digital world.
