Pakistan-Based Label Faces Backlash for Using AI-Generated Alia Bhatt Images

The fashion brand Wajayesha Official is receiving criticism on social media. The brand used AI-edited images of Bollywood star Alia Bhatt to promote its new Pure Sheesha Silk collection. These images appeared to show the actress wearing the brand’s designs. One caption even claimed that she liked the collection. This campaign has started a heated debate about using a celebrity’s face for profit without permission.

The update is coming along on social media, how about checking the same coming on Insta, have a look as we share:

Many social media users quickly noticed problems with the pictures. They saw that the actress’s face and upper body were digitally placed onto the outfits using AI tools. There was no official announcement of a partnership between the brand and the actor. This led followers to ask if she even knew about the campaign. Some users warned the brand that they could be sued for using her image this way.

The brand has responded to these warnings in a very casual way. They asked people to make the post viral so that the actress might see it. They also claimed that she would not take legal action against them. Using AI to copy a celebrity’s likeness without consent can lead to serious legal trouble regarding personality rights. Alia Bhatt and her team have not yet made a statement about the situation.
