P Se PM Tak Movie Review

P Se PM Tak

The prodigal Kundan Shah is back with another political satire named P Se PM Tak that also marks the debut of Meenakshi Dixit in Bollywood. A star down south, she is essaying the role of a courtesan who is caught in a political whirlpool and ends up becoming the PM. Produced by Jayantilal Gada, the movie will release on May 29, 2015.

Kundan Shah offers a ridiculous take on the corrupt political system and the helpless Indian democracy that is notorious for electing inefficient people as public representatives. The story is centered on the journey of a 200-rupee courtesan, who is on the run and penniless. She ends up in a town where a by election is to be held and by a quirk of fate, she gets involved in the political drama.

Horror of all horrors, she ends up becoming the chief minister and that too in mere 4 days. What follows afterwards is a hilarious drama, delivered with sharp punches, so characteristic of Kundan Shah Movies. The director has taken up a highly relevant issue and woven it masterfully around a sensitive subject with a comical finishing.

Starring a bevy of actors that includes prominent names like Bharat Jadhav, Yashpal Sharma, Akhilendra Mishra, Aakash Pandey, Upasana Singh and Aanjan Srivastava, the movie promises brilliant performances and if you have like political satires, this is a must-watch.

Written and directed by the maverick Kundan Shah, P Se PM Tak will delight and provoke you in equal measure.
