Aamir Khan Reacts to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s End-Credit Scene in Pathaan: “The Young Actors Must Have Been Really Upset”

One of the most iconic moments in Hindi cinema occurred in Pathaan (2023) when Salman Khan, also known as Tiger, swoops in to save Shah Rukh Khan’s protagonist during the film’s second half. But the excitement doesn’t end there. In a memorable end-credit scene, Pathaan and Tiger discuss passing the torch to the younger generation, only to realize that no one can truly take their place. It’s in this moment that Pathaan remarks, “Desh ka sawaal hai, baccho pe nahin chod sakte.” While the two characters are referring to younger secret agents, it subtly underscores the idea that the two Khans are irreplaceable in the industry. Now, the third Khan, Aamir Khan, has shared his thoughts on this beloved scene.
During an interview with Anupama Chopra for The Hollywood Reporter India, Aamir expressed his amusement at the sequence. “I found the scene really funny. I haven’t seen the film, but I came across that scene through clips on Instagram, so I ended up watching it. It’s quite humorous,” he said. When Anupama elaborated on the scene, Aamir chuckled and remarked, “I imagine all the young actors must be feeling quite upset. But you can’t really be too mad at Shah Rukh and Salman.
What can you do? (laughs).”Discussing the enduring success of himself, Shah Rukh, and Salman, Aamir acknowledged, “It’s not just the three of us who have lasted 35 years; there are others like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, and many more who have been around as well.”He continued, “If anyone has figured out the secret to stardom and how to achieve it, please let me know, because I certainly don’t have the answers. I can’t explain why I became a star and someone else didn’t. If you asked me to replicate my journey, I wouldn’t know how to do it again.
Aamir reflected on the impact of the internet and social media on stardom, stating, “With these new factors in play, I believe they will influence what it means to be a star. In the past, stars were almost untouchable, but now they are much more accessible. Those of us who rose to stardom before the digital age had a slight edge, I think.
