Kareena Kapoor revealed it’s weird to romance Akshay Kumar on screen after witnessing his first shot when she was in school

Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar have collaborated on a number of films, with a number of them performing well at the box office. It’s also no secret that, despite their numerous on-screen romantic pairings, Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar are significantly different in age, with Kareena Kapoor being 41 years old and Akshay Kumar being 54. This can be explained by recalling how Akshay had previously starred in a film with Bebo’s older sister, Karisma Kapoor. Kareena Kapoor, unbeknownst to many, was a schoolgirl when she first saw the Khiladi take his first shot on set.

While talking about it, Kareena Kapoor said, “I am romancing all of Lolo’s (Karisma) costars, it’s so weird. (During) Akshay’s first shot, I was in my school uniform. It’s been such a long time, it just shows how amazing he is rather than me,” to which Twinkle Khanna retorted, “Maybe not, it also shows that here men can just have these long careers and women (not so much)…”

“But now we are proving them wrong,” Kareena said, and Twinkle agreed, pointing out how the former is still one of the country’s top female stars at her age, despite having worked in the industry for more than two decades.

Ajnabee (2001), Talaash: The Hunt Begins (2003), Dosti: Friends Forever (2005), Tashan (2008), Kambakkht Ishq (2009), and Good Newwz (2019) are the films in which Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar have acted together.
