There seems to be a divide among the B Town actors who support the agitation against the CAB bill and the protest by the Jamia Millia University students against the passed bill. A majority of the B Town celebs have stood for the Jamia students and exhorted for a peaceful agitation rather than the violent one. Police attacked the students with tear gas and even fired bullets in air and on students that have injured a few in the clash.
One of the actors who supported the student was Sushant Singh who tweeted extending his support for the students’ protest in Jamia. He was the part of the popular show called Savdhaan India. But the moment his support was noticed on the Microblogging site, he was fired from the show. He then came and announced his separation from the show and opened up about his termination by the makers of the crime show. Talking about the same he said the makers terminated his contract without giving any reason.
He said this happened just when he supported the protest on social media. While talking about losing his job, he said he has sold his talent and not his conscience. Just to appease his bosses he cannot just stop supporting something which he finds good and worthy. He said when his kids would grow up they would want an answer from him and he should be able to reply them saying that he supported the students protesting against the unjust. He has appeared in many TV shows and films.
