As the popular Indian digital platform Sony LIV is busy promoting its next web series called Undekhi starring Harsh Chhaya, the show seems to be getting negative publicity on the Microblogging site. Thanks to the promotional gimmick carried out by the digital platform that seems to be getting tough calls from the people on Twitter. This all started when they posted a promotional message on Twitter saying that they are getting disturbing calls from the Mumbai Police that were called upon by a man who has seen the killing.
However, soon the people on Twitter realised that it was a promotional gimmick and had nothing to do with the reality, the users were seen slamming the Sony LIV app for this campaign. Many just tweeted the Sony Liv app saying shame on them and they should not malign the image of Mumbai Police and others wished that the police should take action against this appalling and unethical act.
Let’s check some of the tweets as under:

Honestly, this was pathetic. I personally know a Rishi and spent the better half of my day panicking about their well-being after receiving the dreadful call. This “promotional activity” was in no way funny and ur apology really doesn’t cut. @SonyLIV @MumbaiPolice @MahaCyber1

Soon the channel also apologized for their promotional campaign with this tweet:
SonyLIV deeply regrets the recent promotional test activity for its show “Undekhi” which has caused anguish to some people. Our intention was never to cause distress to anyone. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused and offer our apologies @MumbaiPolice @MahaCyber1
