OMG – ‘MGNREGA’ Scam ropes in Amitabh Bachchan & Sachin Tendulkar in flames
The main MGNREGA scam in Goa has been exposed. The appalling datum is that an amount of celebrity names are found to be on the list of scam beneficiaries. It involves Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, Ricky Ponting, KapilDev, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Yuvaraj Singh and the man himself, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. Thismaterial was gained from the Rural Development Agency of state government under the Right to Information Act from the Goa ParivartanNGO Manch.
According to the sources, the NGO then alleged for, “Money being siphoned off due to implementation of the United Progressive Alliance major scheme in the State for making payments to bogus benefit seekers. The GPM convener, Yatish Naik said that Rs. 100 wages per day for 150 days were made to the mentioned celebrities and children along their spouses”.
The list comes from Chimbel area which is labor market which has more than 1000 MGNREGA befitting people. The NGO has sent a petition to Pranab Mukherjee to request him to ask the relevant authorities for investigating in the scam. This scheme is implemented by Rural Development agency for government of Goa. The GPM leaders met the Governor B V wanchoo to seek the intervention. This list has name of Australian cricketer, Ricky Ponting and family members which includes “Rikli, Micky and Rosy”, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Sing with his family member, ‘Josl”, Rahul Dravid along family members namely, “Arjun&Resma”. Wife of Sachin and his both children, entire Bachchan family including his mother form part of the list.
