The upcoming movie of Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar called Indu Sarkar seems to be on trouble as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) committee on Monday has asked the makers to have 14 cuts for his forthcoming movie “Indu Sarkar”. The film is set on the backdrop of the Emergency of 1975 and has been controversial ever since it was announced in the media. We know Madhur Bhandarkar as a reality filmmaker who researches hard to find out a film based on reality.

However, he seems to be appalled with the censor board committee suggesting him to go for 14 different cuts in his film, which he informed over Twitter. As per reports, the national award winner seems to be making a film based on Emergency in India wherein he has been inspired by characters like late PM Mrs. Indira Gandhi along with her son Sanjay Gandhi, which is being helped by the talented actor Neil Nitin Mukesh while others in the movie include Kirti Kulhari, Supriya Vinod, Anupam Kher and Tota Roy Chowdhury who will be seen in different roles.

On the other side, we have reports coming from Indore that the Congress unit of the said city has issued a letter to the Cine Circuit Association along with Cine Grah Sanchalan asking not to screen the film. They have threatened the makers of the movie that they are going to pose some serious problems for them as the movie and thus were seen burning effigies of actors like Anupam Kher and the director of the film as well in the city. Meanwhile, we saw the director making it very clear that the film has no agenda to promote any specific political ideology via the movie that is releasing this July the 28th. The film has also invited the alleged daughter of Sanjay Gandhi to react calling it fake.
