Hindi remake of Drishyam: Tamil director Jeethu Joseph denies directing Ajay Devgn’s film

Earlier this year the sequel to the Malayalam blockbuster film Drishyam released. The makers had to take the digital route owning the pandemic and lockdown. As soon as the film hit Hindi audience started speculating about the remake of the second part of the film. The first part of Drishyam was released in the Malayalam language in 2013 was remade in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The Hindi remake started Ajay Devgn and Tabu, it gathered a huge appreciation from the audience and it was a big hit.

The remake of the prequel starring Ajay Devgn was helmed by Nishikant Kamat. Since the filmmaker passed away a few months back fans are left querying as to who will direct the Hindi remake. While Jeethu Jospeph who helmed the original is also remaking it in Telugu. Jeethu previously directed a Hindi film title The Body starring Emraan Hashmi and Rishi Kapoor. This had light up the speculation that the filmmaker may direct the film.

However, according to the reports, Jeethu Jospeph dismissed the speculative reports and said that he would not be directing the film. He also added that it’s up to the makers to take anyone as the director.
