OMG 2: Makers Relieve getting No Cuts & Only Modifications for the sequel

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film OMG 2 has been cleared by the Censor Board without any major cuts, but with a few modifications. The film has been given an Adults (A) certification. A source close to the project said that the makers of the film were initially asked to make several cuts to the film in order to get a UA (Universal) certification. However, the makers refused to make any major changes to the film, and instead opted to go with an Adults certification.

The source said that the makers of the film felt that the film’s integrity would be compromised if they made any major changes to it. They also felt that the film’s message would be lost if it was watered down for a UA certification. The source added that the few modifications that were made to the film were minor and did not affect the film’s overall message. OMG 2 is a social-themed comedy-drama that stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film Oh My God!, which was also a critical and commercial success.

The makers of OMG 2 have made a few audio and visual modifications to the film in order to get an Adults (A) certification from the Censor Board. One of the reported changes is to Akshay Kumar’s character. In the final cut, he will reportedly be shown as a messenger of Lord Shiva rather than the deity himself. The film was also referred to the Revision Committee after the release of its teaser last month. However, it has now been cleared by the Censor Board with the aforementioned modifications. So, with things under control, the film is going to hit the screens as scheduled to be released on August 11, 2023. Stay tuned to know more about the film and others only with us.
