OMG 2 Film Review: A Hilarious and Thought-Provoking Triumph Surpassing Its Predecessor

Kanti Sharan Mudgal is a devout Hindu who lives in a small town in India. He is a staunch believer in Lord Shiva and follows all the religious practices with great devotion. He is also a strict father and expects his son, Krish, to follow the same path.

OMG 2 is a clever and crisp courtroom comedy that takes a few liberties in its depiction of the court proceedings. While it is clear who will win the legal battle fought on moral grounds, the film remains engaging and entertaining throughout. It is rare for sequels to outshine the original, but OMG 2 does just that. A spiritual sequel to Umesh Shukla’s OMG – Oh My God! (2012), OMG 2 hits the nail on the head while addressing a rather sensitive topic.

The film follows the story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi), a devout Hindu who is forced to question his own beliefs about morality, religion, and sex when his son is expelled from school for making a presentation about sex education. Kanti eventually decides to fight for the right of all children to have access to sex education, and his journey takes him to the courtroom.

The courtroom scenes in OMG 2 are some of the best in the film. Amit Rai, the writer-director, does a masterful job of balancing humor and drama. The dialogues are sharp and witty, and the performances from the cast are top-notch. Pankaj Tripathi is particularly good as Kanti, and he brings a lot of heart and soul to the role.

While OMG 2 does take a few liberties with the depiction of the court proceedings, it is still a very enjoyable film. It is rare for a sequel to outshine the original, but OMG 2 does just that. It is a clever, funny, and thought-provoking film that addresses a very important topic. If you are looking for a good movie to watch, I highly recommend OMG 2.

OMG 2 comes with a talented ensemble cast, each of whom brings their own unique strengths to the film. Pankaj Tripathi is excellent as Kanti, a father who is forced to question his own beliefs about morality, religion, and sex when his son is expelled from school for making a presentation about sex education. Akshay Kumar is also good as Ayushmann, a lawyer who helps Kanti fight for his son’s right to an education. Yami Gautam is sincere in her performance as the opposing lawyer, but the attempt to make her look menacing by using over-the-shoulder camera angles doesn’t quite work.

Overall, OMG 2 is an entertaining, socially relevant, and informative film. It is a rare film that can make you laugh and think at the same time. The cast is excellent, the story is engaging, and the message is important. I highly recommend OMG 2 to anyone who is looking for a good movie to watch.
