Nidhi Bisht is a casting director, filmmaker, actress and lawyer. She was born in Delhi in 1985 and brought up in this place only. She did her schooling from Barry’s John’s Imago Academy, New Delhi. She then went to Jamia Milia Islamia to complete her graduation in law. After completing her LLB, she practiced in Delhi Court for around a year. She worked as an associate at the Singh and Singh Associates dealing with intellectual property rights law. She had an interest in acting and hence she headed towards it against the wishes of her parents and joined a crash course in acting to enter into this field.
However, after completing her acting course, she joined The YouTube Show called The Viral Fever in 2013 working as a comedian. She is the only IIT Graduate in the TVF group. She then got the chance to act in a couple of TV shows and Web series starting with Chai Sutta Chronicles in the same year. She then remained the part of the show Permanent Roommates aired in 2014. Her next show was Umrika in 2015, while her first break in films came with the Anushka Sharma venture Phillauri in 2017.
She also acted in the show called Bisht, Please! in 2017 followed by seen in the Bachelors. She then acted in Kanika in the year 2018 which remained her first short film. She then got the chance to work in a web series called TVF Tripling, ImMature and The Making of…. and so on. She then was seen with Ayushmann Khurrana in a film known as Dream Girl, which was released on 13 September 2019. She is also involved in writing and has worked with Permanent Roommates, PA-Gals and Bisht, Please! She was also a casting director of the show TVF Pitchers and worked as assistant director of Permanent Roommates. Talking about her personal life, she is single and not ready to mingle as she is focussing on her career.
