Ishqedarriyaan-Movie Review

Ishqedarriyaan is one of the movies releasing this Friday, which falls under Romance and Love Genre. The film has Mahaakshay Chakraborty, Evelyn Sharma and Mohit Dutta in the lead roles, which is directed by V K Prakash and produced by Rajesh Banga. The music comes from slew of people, which include Jeet Gannguli, Jaidev Kumar, Komail Shayan (KK) and Bilal Saeed, whereas the singers for different tracks include some popular singers like Arijit Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Ankit Tiwari, Bilal Saeed and so on. After a couple of delays, the film was able to hit the theatres on 29th May 2015. Now, let’s check what really goes inside the film.

The Story

The story of the film is all about love, relationship, family values and sacrifice. The term is derived from the Hindi word called Rishteydarriyaan, which means relationship, similarly the people who love eachother and fall in love tend to form a relationship, which is called as Ishqedarriyaan. You have one school teacher called Luvleen who is seen raising funds for her school, which belongs to her grandfather. She is in love with Arjun who is a passionate singer. This man has only one love of his life the music and hence he fails to realize the love of this lady and seen departing to pursue his dreams. On the other side, you have another man who is called Aagam Diwan, who is a millionaire played by Mahaakshay Chakraborty. He falls in love with this school teacher, which is completely a one side love, which tends to take him pledge before the lady to get back his lost love for her.

The Performances

Starting with the script, the seems too slow flaunting the same old stories, which have been told in the Bollywood movies N number of times. It lacks innovation, promotes boredom and allows too many loo breaks giving a guilt to the audience as to why he or she has wasted his or her money for such kinds of film. It’s a love triangle, which at times go directionless showcasing three individuals in different places with different things. In this fiercely competitive world, it is hard to find examples in real life with people who are millionaires tend to fall in love to an ordinary girl soon to realize that she loves someone else. The most ironic part is when the same millionaire guy pledges to finds love for his lady calling this sacrifice as real love, the patience of any audience is more likely to wreck.

Talking about the performance, all the three in the lead role were seen with ordinary performance. The film is far away from performances, which can attract people far and wide. Though being the novices their performances can be neglected to some extent, however, they seem to have failed to touch even the basics of the performances, which are required in any film to get some recognition over the silver screen. Too many flaws in script, direction and acting, which seemed lagging behind far away. The only positive element about the film is the music and a couple of songs, which sound bit shooting. Thanks to the seasoned singers like Arjit Singh and Mohit Chauhan who have been roped for the playback singing. The other technical aspects like editing, screenplay, dialogues, locations seems to be okay, yet they fail to add any magic to save the film over the box office.

Ishqedarriyaan The Last Word

Being novice is not a crime in Bollywood, however, being getting the opportunity and not exploiting the best in its favor is a crime. Films like Ishqedarriyaan is a classic example of how amateur work can fail and have its aftermath impact, which can go long in the careers of people involved in such projects. Unfortunately, such ventures can be haunt the people in the forefront of such projects leading them astray. Such is the story behind the film Ishqedarriyaan and its making, which is far away from anything, which is worthy to be discussed. Such films come with a fate to fall flat over the ground leading even the actors bear its taste for a long run.
