People on social media alleged that Kareena is hurting their religious sentiments as she demanded Rs 12 crores. People think it’s too much and it is against humanity’. Some users even called out the director for planning to cast Kareena. Twitteratis even dragged Saif Ali Khan’s name for hurting Hindu sentiment in his web series Tandav.
Earlier this week it was reported that Kareena asked of Rs 12 crores to do the film. A source was also quoted as saying, “Kareena who usually asks for INR 6-8 crores for films has quoted a sum of INR 12 crores which have put the producers in a tizzy. In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and in talks to take the film to a younger actress instead. But Kareena still remains the first choice.”
However, when the writer of the film K Vijayendra Prasad was asked about the film offered to Kareena’s exit from the film due to fee demand, he denied it emphatically. “No no no,” was his reply.
Koimoi also quoted a source as saying, “Kareena Kapoor Khan is not suited to the part at all. It must have suited some marketing brains somewhere to suggest she’s playing Sita as her husband(Saif Ali Khan) is playing Ravan in another project.
