Netflix Unveils ‘Gandhari’ Trailer: Taapsee Pannu Plays a Mother on a Mission
Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming action-thriller Gandhari, starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Written and produced by Kanika Dhillon and directed by Devashish Makhija, the film centers on a mother’s relentless battle to save her child.
The story takes place in the fictional town of Joypurra, a place steeped in fear, silence, and local folklore surrounding mysterious performers known as Behrupiyas. When her young daughter is abducted, Bani (Taapsee Pannu) faces a wall of silence from authorities. Realizing the official investigation is stalled, she takes matters into her own hands. Armed with courage and determination, Bani braves immense physical danger, uncovers hidden truths, and forms unexpected alliances to bring her child back home safely.
The film features a strong supporting cast alongside Pannu. Ishwak Singh plays Gokul, a father also coping with his daughter’s disappearance, while Jatin Sarna plays Kabir, the police officer leading the investigation.
