Netflix series ‘Bard of Blood’: First Look Enough to Ignite Minds

Bard Of Blood‘Bard of Blood’ web series based on Bilal Siddiqi’s bestselling book with the same name has given a high stride strike to the audiences revealing the first look poster of Emraan Hashmi. Along with the poster, came out the announcement of the release date for this much awaited web series marking the debut of Emraan.

Netflix made an official announcement last week mentioning, “Bard of Blood”, will premiere on its platform on September 27 this year.  The seven-episode show is based on Bilal Siddiqi’s bestselling book of the same name.

The series is produced by superstar Shah Rukh Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The official logline of the show stated, “The story is about four Indian intelligence officers belonging to the Indian Intelligence Wing (IIW) who are compromised, before they can relay an important piece of information to India.They get captured and are about to be decapitated. The stakes are high.”

It further mentions, “Back in India, the intelligence veteran Sadiq Sheikh, the handler of the captured agents, realizes he must spearhead a clandestine mission to rescue his men. He reaches out to a former spy and now professor of Shakespeare, Kabir Anand a man who knows the terrain and politics of Balochistan inside out. Kabir must connect the dots from the cryptic information that he has at his disposal. The only way for Kabir to get the answers is to embark upon a dangerous journey and complete unfinished business.”

Emraan Hashmi also seems pretty woofed up for his digital debut as he didn’t miss a chance to share the first motion poster for this project on his Twitter handle mentioning, “He doesn’t exist, so you can. #BardOfBlood Coming soon, only on @NetflixIndia.”

The show is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and will also be featuring Vineet Kumar Singh, Shobhita Dhulipala, Kirti Kulhari and Rajit Kapoor. Even since the launch of the first look of the series, anticipations are going high and audiences are keenly waiting for the release day.
