24Six Films, Australia, in collaboration with Drishya Sharma Productions, has revealed the first look of their debut feature film, Hindi-Vindi. This eagerly awaited film has secured Development Funding from Screen Australia and represents one of the largest collaborations between the Indian and Australian film industries in recent years. The project is helmed by a talented team of Sydney-based filmmakers, including Director Ali Sayed, writer Jay Sharma, and producers Aniket Deshkar, Anil Sharma, and Sunny Shah from Mumbai. Hindi-Vindi boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring acclaimed actors such as Neena Gupta and Mihir Ahuja.
The film is set to be a cinematic gem that promises to enchant audiences around the globe. Notably, it also marks the acting debut of famed Australian music icon Guy Sebastian in a significant role. The first look poster, unveiled today, features the film’s lead stars—Neena Gupta, Mihir Ahuja, and Guy Sebastian—in a breathtaking and visually striking frame that beautifully encapsulates the spirit of Hindi-Vindi. This musical drama delves into intergenerational language barriers within the migrant community, showcasing a unique narrative and cross-cultural appeal. The Indo-Western musical fusion is expected to resonate deeply with audiences both in India and among the global Indian diaspora. Hindi-Vindi is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters in September 2024, coinciding with Hindi Diwas to honor the Hindi language.
