NCB is investigating Ananya Panday’s ‘suspicious’ financial transactions in the wake of Aryan Khan’s narcotics arrest
In the newest development in Aryan Khan’s alleged drug case, Ananya Panday has apparently been questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau about some “strange financial activities.” Not only that, but Ananya was also questioned about her WhatsApp conversations with Aryan, who was arrested by the NCB in connection with the Mumbai Cruise Ship cocaine bust. Ananya has been questioned twice by the NCB this week following a raid at her home. Ananya has been summoned for a second time on Monday, October 25.
As per a tweet by ANI, “Questioning of actor Ananya Panday being done over some suspicious financial transactions and also in connection with WhatsApp chats with Aryan Khan. The actor was questioned regarding this yesterday: Narcotics Control Bureau, Mumbai.”
According to News18, during her interrogation, the actress allegedly told the NCB that she may ‘know someone who can supply, or has once or twice given drugs’ to Aryan Khan. The house assistance of a “renowned person” was also questioned by NCB officials, according to the article.
According to a News18 report, the home worker who was questioned by NCB is suspected of selling drugs to Aryan at Ananya’s request. Ananya was allegedly’reprimanded’ by Sameer Wankhede for arriving late for questioning at the NCB headquarters, according to another report by India Today. According to the publication’s account, Sameer Wankhede told Ananya that NCB is a government body, not a “production firm.”
Ananya’s father, Chunky Panday, has accompanied her to the NCB office on both occasions. The actress came under scrutiny this week when NCB officers raided her home based on whatsapp conversations she had with Aryan Khan. Aryan’s detention has been extended until October 30, 2021. His bail hearing has been set for October 26 in the Bombay High Court.
