The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli after banned drugs were allegedly recovered from his place. The Bureau conducted a raid at his residence in Mumbai on Saturday.
Ndtv quoted Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of NCB’s Mumbai Zonal Unit as saying, “A small quantity of Cocaine has been seized from his (Armaan Kohli) house”.
The officer also informed that the investigation has revealed that the case has international linkages as the cocaine seized has South American origin.
Presently the NCB is probing the route and links that brought the seized cocaine to Mumbai and the involvement of other traffickers.
The anti drugs agency on Saturday had booked a major drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh, who was in possession of illegal drugs.
Previously the central anti-drugs agency also booked TV actor Gaurav Dixit in connection with drugs. Dixit was produced in the court on Saturday and sent to NCB custody till August 30.
Kohli was a contestant on Bigg Boss 7 and had made headlines because of his relationship with co-contestant Tanishaa Mukerji.
In 2020 after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput several celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh were questioned by NCB in connection with drug abuse in Bollywood.
Kohli has appeared in movies like Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and Jaani Dushman, Dushman Zamana, Anaam, Qahar.
