Navi Mumbai Police Arrest 4 Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Members Planning Second Attack on Salman Khan

In a recent development, reports have emerged stating that Bollywood actor Salman Khan narrowly escaped another planned attack by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This incident comes just over a month after shots were fired outside Khan’s Bandra residence in Mumbai. According to ANI, the Navi Mumbai Police have arrested four members of the Bishnoi gang who allegedly planned to target Khan’s car while he was en route to his farmhouse in Panvel. The investigation revealed the gang’s intention to acquire weapons from a Pakistani arms supplier. An FIR has been registered against more than 17 individuals, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, and Goldy Brar.

The investigation is currently ongoing. Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare confirmed the arrests and revealed that the accused had been planning the attack for a considerable period. They even conducted a reconnaissance in Panvel by residing there temporarily. The arrested individuals have been identified as Dhananjay Tapesingh alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Vapsi Khan alias Waseem Chikna, and Rizwan Khan. This recent incident follows the previous attack on April 14, 2024, when two assailants on a motorcycle fired shots outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence. Six individuals were arrested in connection with the incident, resulting in the unfortunate passing away of one accused named Anuj.

Currently, four individuals are in judicial custody, while one remains in police custody. In light of the April attack, security measures around Salman Khan’s residence have been significantly enhanced. The Maharashtra Police have provided him with Y+ security, ensuring his safety. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde personally visited Khan’s residence to assure the family that swift and strict action will be taken against the culprits. Despite these recent threats, Salman Khan remains undeterred. He is currently attending a pre-wedding cruise celebration for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, accompanied by the Ambani family.
