Narcotics Body Opposes Showik Chakraborty’s Bail, Check Details
Just when Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea will be decided today by the Mumbai Courts, the lawyers of her brother Showik are also trying to get the bail for him. However, the NCB or Narcotics Control Bureau seemed to have opposed this bail application as filed by Rhea ‘s brother bail plea. They claim that the actress’ brother has remained an active member in the drug syndicate linked to the drug supplies.Â
While opposing the bail application, the NCB claimed that if he is released on bail, he may tamper with the evidence and try to influence the witness using his sister’s power and the money the family has. Also, Rhea’s role has been acknowledged in this connection when it comes to the involvement of the drugs procurement and even the payment for the same.Â
They also claimed that it was Rhea who played her part in getting the drugs for Sushant from Samuel and then from Showik. Hence it is very much clear from her statement that the application remains an active member in the drug syndicate linked with the drug supplies read the NCB statement. As per NCB, Showik also did payment for the drugs and took delivery from Samuel for the late actor. Hence considering the act 27 A of NDPS is applicable to him.
