Sonam Kapoor & Ashoke Pandit Fights on Twitter about Crackers
As people came out switching off their lights to light the candle, they also burst crackers. The PM’s call for 9 pm and 9 minutes did get a good response, however, people bursting crackers on this juncture did bring criticism from the B Town celebs. The first one was from Sonam Kapoor who is currently in Delhi with her hubby Anand Ahuja and in her in-laws as she returned from London. She came on Twitter and slammed the people who burst the crackers.
This led the war of words with Ashoke Pandit who defended the people bursting the crackers as he justified saying that people have chosen to be happy in their difficult times. Check his tweet as under:
Sonam ji crackers are burst during celebrations & not only in Diwali?People are trying to be happy in these difficult times.
They are at least not spreading d virus like #TabligiJamaat. I wish you would hve condemned this act of terrorism than blaming crackers. https://t.co/P788T49Oir— Ashoke Pandit (@ashokepandit) April 5, 2020
While replying to her tweet he even targeted the Tablighi Jamaat for spreading the virus and not the ones who burst the crackers. To which Sonam Kapoor Ahuja replied saying where is the social distancing Mr. Ashoke, check her reply as under:
Social distancing is a must ashokeji. Also making sure there isn’t communal infighting. So that the government can concentrate on doing good like they are. I’m sure you agree. You’re a sensible man who believes in being good and kind. https://t.co/FrPHYYoBsl

I’m not ‘beating’ around the bush. Like I said, Social distancing is a must. And ANYONE not following that whether they are Hindu or Muslim or Christian or Sikh is wrong. I’m sure you agree. You must have very important things to do now. I think we both made our point. ? & ✌️ https://t.co/3Tj3ViOI9R
