Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s Hum Aapke Hain Koun music director Raam Laxman passed away today due to cardiac arrest. The legendary music director has given some of the most iconic music in the 90s hit films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath – Saath Hain, Patthar Ke Phool.
Raam Laxman was 78, according to the reports he breathed his last in the early hours of Saturday at his residence in Nagpur. Raam Laxman’s son informed about his demise and also said that he took both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine following which he was feeling very weak and fatigued.
He was quoted saying, “My father passed away at 2:00 am on Saturday. He died due to a heart attack. He got the second jab of Covid-19 vaccine a few days ago, following which he was feeling very weak and fatigued, and a doctor was treating him for that.”
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar took to her Twitter handle and mourned his death and expresses her grief. She wrote, “Mujhe abhi pata chala ki bahut guni aur lokpriya sangeetkar Ram Laxman ji (Vijay Patil) ji ka swargwas hua. Ye sunke mujhe bahut dukh hua. Wo bahut acche insaan the. Maine unke kai gaane gaaye jo bahut lokpriya hue. Main unko vinamra shraddhanjali arpan karti hun.”
Salman Khan remembered him and wrote, “Ram Laxman, music director of my successful films like maine pyaar kiya, patthar ke phool, hum saath saath hain, hum apke hain kaun has sadly passed away. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to the bereaved family (sic).”
Rajshri Production house with him Raam Laxman worked a lot giving some successful films penned a heartfelt tribute for Laxman and wrote, “Music Composer Vijay Patil a.k.a Laxman of the iconic #RaamLaxman duo passed away. Our deepest condolences to his family in this tough time. Rajshri will always remember him for his immense contribution to the music industry. May his soul Rest In Peace.”
