Music director Pritam Chakraborty lost his father, Prabodh Chakraborty, on Sunday. The Bollywood musician’s father was admitted to a hospital for the last two years and breathed his last at the age of 86.
Pritam, his mother and sister were in hospital with Prabodh Chakraborty till the end. He suffered from Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
The family cremated on Sunday in Amboli, in the presence of only close family members due to the current healthcare situation.
Pritam Chakraborty has recently been working on several big Bollywood projects. He was part of the film 83 starring Ranveer Singh. The cricket drama is directed by Kabir Khan and was scheduled to release on screen on 10 April.
Apart from this, Pritam has also worked with Ayan Mukerji for his dream venture ‘Brahmastra’. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer sci-fi drama is targeted to be released in December this year. ‘Brahmastra’ has Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in other roles.
