ZEE5 has unveiled the thrilling trailer for its upcoming original series Murshid, released on Tuesday, August 20. This gritty gangster saga stars the formidable Kay Kay Menon, alongside Zakir Hussain, Tanuj Virwani, and Rajesh Shringarpure in pivotal roles. Set to premiere this month, the show promises a gripping blend of crime, action, and drama, taking viewers from the bustling streets of Mumbai to the dazzling skylines of Dubai and the historic alleyways of Allahabad.
Murshid immerses audiences in a world where not every “Bhai” is a brother, and familial bonds can quickly transform into treacherous traps. The trailer plunges viewers into Mumbai’s criminal underbelly, where retired don Murshid Pathan (Kay Kay Menon) is reluctantly pulled back into the life he believed he had left behind. When his former rival Farid (Zakir Hussain) frames Murshid’s son in a perilous scheme, the ex-kingpin must navigate a perilous landscape filled with shifting loyalties, political intrigue, and personal vendettas. As Murshid fights to safeguard his family and legacy, he faces off against the determined Inspector Kumar Pratap Rana (Tanuj Virwani), who is also his adopted son, and the scheming politician Jayendra (Rajesh Shringarpure).
