Munawar Faruqui Receives a Grand Welcome in Mumbai Following ‘Bigg Boss 17’ Victory. Watch Now!
Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui received a triumphant reception in Mumbai on Monday following his victory in the renowned reality series “Bigg Boss 17.”
Faruqui, aged 32, was crowned the winner of the season by actor Salman Khan, the show’s host.
A massive gathering of fans congregated around Faruqui’s car in Mumbai’s Dongri area, where he had spent several years. Standing out of the sunroof, he acknowledged the crowd while proudly displaying his Bigg Boss trophy. The predominantly male crowd enthusiastically cheered for him, capturing the moment through photos and videos on their phones.
During the live voting on “Bigg Boss 17,” Faruqui surpassed Abhishek Kumar to secure the coveted winner’s title.
Reflecting on his significant triumph, Faruqui described his journey on “Bigg Boss 17” as a “roller coaster” ride that not only tested him but also facilitated personal growth.
The show featured other notable contestants such as Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, and Arun Mahashetty.
“It tests you. It’s up to you how you react and what you say. It is not easy. I was drained out a bit mentally. I kept going for myself and fans. It has been a roller coaster journey,” expressed the comedian.
Hailing from Gujarat’s Junagadh, Faruqui gained prominence on social media through his stand-up videos and also showcased his skills as a rapper on YouTube.
Faruqui, who has a five-year-old son from a previous marriage that ended in 2022, was also romantically involved with social media influencer Nazila Sitaishi.
