The grand finale of Indian Idol 12 will take place on August 15th, which is Independence Day. The 12th season of the singing reality show has been the longest in the show’s history, and now the producers want to send it off in style. Here’s everything you need to know about the big finale.
For the first time in Indian television history, a show will be broadcast for 12 hours. Yes, the finale of Indian Idol 12 will last 12 hours. It will be broadcast on television from 12 p.m. (15 August) to 12 a.m. (16th August). Sony TV’s official Instagram account has also shared the same image. The ‘Greatest Grand Finale Ever’ has been billed as the finale.
Indiam Idol’s director Neeraj Sharma told Indian Express, “If there was no pandemic, we would have hosted the finale in a big stadium, and we are confident it would have been a sold-out show. This season has been loved so much and given it’s the last episode, we wanted to do something really special, and thus the 12-hour episode came in place.”
“It’s a mammoth task and hence we will be shooting for some performances beforehand. Also, there are going to be a lot of surprises and guest appearances which will make the episode a thoroughly entertaining one,” Sharma added.
If reports are to be believed Shershaah team which features Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will be gracing Indian Idol 12’s finale.
