Mumbai Police Arrest 25-Year-Old YouTuber from Rajasthan for Threatening Salman Khan

The South Cyber Police in Mumbai have taken swift action by apprehending a 25-year-old man from Rajasthan who allegedly issued threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a video uploaded on YouTube.The accused, identified as Banwarlal Laturlal Gujar, hails from Boarda village in the Hindoli area of Rajasthan. The police were able to track him down after a video containing threats against Salman Khan surfaced on a YouTube channel named ‘Are Chhodo Yar’.According to sources, Gujar can be heard referencing the notorious Bishnoi gang while issuing the threats to kill Salman Khan in the video.
DCP Datta Nalawade of the South Cyber Police Station has confirmed the arrest and the charges pressed against Gujar. Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) relating to criminal intimidation (506 & 504) and abetment (34) have been invoked, along with Section 66(d) of the Information Technology (IT) Act.Recognizing the severity of the case, DCP Nalawade stated that a police team has been dispatched to Rajasthan to conduct further investigations. The team, accompanied by Gujar in custody, is expected to arrive in Mumbai imminently.
This arrest comes at a time when Salman Khan has been placed under heightened security measures following a shooting incident outside his residence in April 2024. The investigation into this latest threat against the actor is ongoing and being treated with utmost seriousness.The authorities remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of public figures and will continue to take swift action against any individuals involved in criminal activities or issuing threats.
