Padmaavat box office collection day 2

After a huge furor, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie called Padmavat is finally running in all the screens. Despite the limited releases in India, the period drama has done well on day gaining around 20 crore over the box office. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor had witnessed some testing times before it has seen the light of the day. Right from the violent protests by Karni Sena thugs and hooligans to the delayed release from Censor Board, the journey for the film has been full of unprecedented efforts and struggles. Now when the film has been released and screened to the B Town celebrities, many seemed going ga-ga over the film.

Though critics are now seen showering their praise over the Padmaavat for its incredible  opulent visuals and some stellar performances particularly of Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji the film seems to be faring much at the Bollywood box office. As per reports, the 2nd day box office collection for Padmavat netted to around 32 crore, which was as expected on the holiday on the eve of Republic Day. As per several film trade analysts the trends suggested that the film Padmaavat had crossed the Rs 50 Crore after the second day it has proven right with the total two days collection crossing this figure.

However, on Saturday one may find a bit of dip, but again on Sunday the film would certainly going to go up and the collection would again be expected to come close to 100 crore at the end of the 1st weekend of the film. The 50 crore collection in two days certainly gives the makers to have a gala time and everyone in the camp of the film seems to be happy. So, despite all the hatred and fierce agitation, the film continued to score high at the box office.
