Mughal-E-Azam goes the broadway style

Recreating the magic of the film ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ a musical syle play was took to the theatres in the form of drama. The Broadway style classic not only made it look contemporary but also cherished the memory of the original film without losing its flavor.

PrithviRaj Kapoor who was then a part of the film, his son Randhir Kapoor applauded it remembering his father and said “It was a great film. I am very glad for being associated with this classic film through my grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor.”

“I am very happy that a stage version of ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ has been made. I am hoping the presentation will be glorious as it was in the film. I wish them all the best on behalf of my family and my grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor,” Randhir said.

Earlier, we had heard that randhir Kapoor had refused that a film like “Mughal-E-Azam” will be made ever. Speaking on the same, he said “”It was a great film. I am very glad for being associated with this classic film through my grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor.”

Other Bollywood celebrities who graced the red carpet of the premiere included Jackky Bhagnani, Jackie Shroff, Nandita Das, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi , Boney Kapoor, Sridevi and Irrfan Khan.

Feroz Abbas Khan is directing the play, which is a tribute to the original film and is being produced on a grand scale.
