Mrunal Thakur Addresses Raaka Casting Rumors, Promises Official Updates Soon
Actor Mrunal Thakur has finally addressed ongoing speculation regarding her potential role in Raaka, the highly anticipated film starring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee. However, the actor chose to neither confirm nor deny her involvement in the massive pan-India project.
Speaking in a recent interview with HT City while promoting her latest release, Pooja Meri Jaan, Mrunal reacted lightheartedly to the direct question about Raaka.
“I like how you assume that I am doing Raaka,” she laughed, adding, “The announcement of upcoming films, I will make it on social networking sites soon, so that we put a full stop to all these rumours.”
This statement echoes comments she made earlier to Mid-Day, where she clarified that she had not signed a new film in nearly nine months as she waits for meaningful scripts. She emphasized again that any official project news will come directly through her verified social media handles.
Focusing on the Craft
Beyond the casting chatter, Mrunal shared her perspective on selecting roles and navigating her career. She highlighted her desire to focus on growth rather than worrying about commercial outcomes.
“I just want to enjoy the process. Because an experiment is like aim, apparatus, observation, conclusion, that’s it,” Mrunal explained. “I don’t want to come to a conclusion that it did not work. For me, everything is you live and you learn.”
What We Know About Raaka
Raaka is an upcoming sci-fi action spectacle marking the maiden collaboration between Icon Star Allu Arjun and blockbuster director Atlee. Scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release in 2027, the film also features Deepika Padukone in a lead role.
