Last week, we had only one release, which came in the form of Mr. X. It had Emraan Hashmi in the lead role, while the movie had a meager buzz for it, which failed to translate into a good collection by the end of the day. In fact, right from the very first day till the end of the week, the box office collection figures have been similar with consistently low amount at the end of the day. This has therefore led a low figure over the box office.
Thanks to the mixed reviews which failed to garner a good response for the film.  As per reports, the Mr. X first week box office collection tolled to around 20.50 crores at the domestic market. Thus the film remained underperformer. Comparing this film with the earlier movies of the serial kisser – Emraan Hashmi, the reviews for movies like Raja Natwarlal, Ungli and Ghanchhakkar had better reviews, which still failed to garner the kind of response it was expecting. For instance, Raja Natwarlal could secure only 26 crores in its first week.
The others were still low as compared to the above figure. Considering the lower collection, its high time that Emraan Hashmi should give a relook of his choices, which doesn’t seem to grow his film’s collection and failing to increase his screen value. Also, the other movies like Ek Paheli Leela did some damage as people preferred this film more than Mr. X.
