Moradabad Court asks Sonakshi Sinha to appear in the 2019 fraud case

No relief for Sonakshi Sinha in the 2019 fraud case. According to recent reports, the actress has been summoned to appear in a Moradabad court in Uttar Pradesh next month in connection with a 2019 fraud case. An event organiser named Pramod Sharma accused Sonakshi of cheating, criminal conspiracy, and breach of trust at the time.

It was reported that she was expected to appear as a key guest in an event in Delhi, Sonakshi was given an amount of Rs 28 lakh in advance. The actress, on the other hand, did not show up for the event, despite having been paid in advance. Following repeated attempts to recover the money, event organiser Pramod Sharma allegedly filed a complaint against the actress in 2019.

In the fraud case, Moradabad court has allegedly issued a non-bailable warrant against the actress. In addition, the court has ordered Sonakshi to appear in court on April 25.

As per the reports, the Dabangg actress had signed a memorandum of understanding for the event. Sonakshi’s side, on the other hand, asked for a change in the event’s timing on the day of the event. The actress is said to have dropped out after the organisers failed to comply with this demand.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi will next be seen in the film ‘Double XL,’ in which she will co-star with Huma Qureshi in the major role. She also has ‘Kakuda,’ in the pipeline which she co-wrote with Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem.
