Last Friday, we had two films releasing the screen, which certainly include Mom and Shab. The makers of both the films were expecting a lot considering the fact that the film Tubelight has done an average business. TB has its low impact over the box office hence the makers of the films were dashing enough to release two movies. Now, let’s talk about the two films released this Friday starting with the one that has witnessed the comeback of Raveena Tandon in it.
After doing a meager business at the box office, the romance drama thriller film called Shab directed by Onir and produced by Sany Suri and Onir himself failed to do the business. The film though had some meager buzz due to the comeback of Raveena Tandon but it completely failed to give a decent business. As per reports, the 1st weekend box office collection for Shab tolled to around 7.5 crores, which is certainly not an impressive figure.
Now, let us check the other release, which came in the form of Sri Devi starrer movie called Mom. The movie has managed to impress the audience but considering the fact that the film has managed to impress the reviewers it has impressed the audience as well to some extent. This has contributed to some amount of rise in the collection. As per reports, the first weekend box office collection of Mom starring sridevi, Akshay Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has given a decent collection of around 10 crores in its first three days.
