Although the first part of Malang failed to impress the audience, but the film did get good reviews for the performances of the leading stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Disha Patani and Anil Kapoor. The Mohit Suri film did not do well at the box office, but a section of the media applauded the task of the filmmaker showcasing high buzz action drama on the silver screen. Hence Mohit Suri had the sequel in his mind, which he hinted while talking to the media.Â
As per reports, Ankur Garg, the producer of the film confirmed that Mohit Suri is working with the film director Luv Ranjan. The film recently got its premier on the digital platform Netflix which did get a good response from the audience. The producer further thanked the audience for the good response on the OTT platform and later confirmed that Mohit Suri has already started the work. Even when Mohit Suri was asked about it, he also confirmed the same.
The film was made at the backdrop of Goa and was a romantic thriller. The film was produced by T-Series and Luv Films, while it was directed by Mohit Suri. Mohit has worked with Aditya Roy Kapur in films like Aashiqui 2 with Shraddha Kapoor which was a big hit. With Malang, he got the chance to reunite and work.
