Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan Is in a Legal Soup

mohenjo daro in legal soup

The upcoming period drama called Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde seems to be in a legal trouble much before its final release. Amidst its promotion mode when the film is gearing up for its release there seems to be a legal problem erupting for its makers.

The film is now being dragged into the court on the allegation of stealing a script. As per the writer and director Akashaditya Lama’s claim the movie script has been his work and it was him who has first discussed the same with Ashutosh Gowarikar in the year 2002 when Lama was rejected on the grounds that Ashu was not keen to make period dramas.

However, in 2010 when Ashutosh declared that he is working on the script based on Indus Valley Civilization, he was rather shocked to hear the same. And when Ashutosh announced about his film in the near future, Lama mailed him asking that he is now using his script without actually informing him.

Since no replies has received from Gowarikar, the filmmaker from the south then went on to knock the door of the court. The matter is now in the sub-judice at the Bombay High Court, while the next hearing would be held on 26th July 2016, so, its wait and watch strategy.
