Mission Mangal Goes Unstoppable on 2nd Day, Batla House fairs with an average collection
It was the second day and the Akshay Kumar starrer film Mission Mangal went on unstoppable at the box office. After getting a bumping opening on the first day with the collection of 29.16 Crores, while the film on the second day scored 27 Crores despite being working. Thus the film is all set to expect a huge collection during its first weekend thus easily getting the 100 Crore club. Thus the two days collection went to around 56.16 Crores.
Despite the fact, the film was not a solo release on this big day as John Abraham starrer film Batla House also released the same day. In the coming two days – Saturday and Sunday will again have a similar collection which would go beyond 60 crores perhaps coming close to the 70 crores, which would enter into the 100 Crore Club. Now, let’s check the other film Batla House releasing on the I Day performed on the second day.
However, with Batla House, the collection was just half of the collection of Mission Mangal despite having a decent buzz in the media. The film was also into a controversy with a case being hurled on it in the Delhi High court alleging that the film would influence the trial still undergoing for the Batla House Encounter that was termed to be a fake by most of the activists and victims. The film collected 13. 41 Crores on the second day after minting 14.59 Crores on the I Day. With this the total collection for Batla House as 28 Crores on the box office. The film is expected to score similar figures on the first weekend.
