Star Plus is launching it’s new serial Meri Durga in January. Seems like TV serials are also taking to the flavor of Dangal. Haryanvi accent and father nurturing dreams of his daughter becoming successful is a fresh concept apart from it’s resemblance with Dangal story. However such constructive changes in the story concepts must be appreciated. Here we have the latest serial on Star Plus to be launched in January 2017 with a fresh star cast.
The serial Meri Durga , will be a unique story of a father and his daughter based in rural setting of Haryana. The father is a humble peon in government service. He nurtures great dreams for his daughter Durga who is a smart child. She is very good at sports and aspires to become an athlete. Durga is presently studying in middle school and has big dreams in her small eyes. The story will revolve around the love and dreams of this father and daughter duo. It is bound to be touching. With the new gen audience wanting to watch more and more women oriented concepts, this one surely looks like having all the elements to catch up with the regular audience of Star Plus.
Although the promos of the serial show Meri Durga as a young child, the show will take a leap and we will see the grown up Durga too.
Ananya Agrawal plays the role of young Durga. The grown up role will be played by Nidhi Nautiyal. Vicky Ahuja will be playing the role of Durga’s father.
