There has been a huge buzz for the Ekta Kapoor production venture Mental Hai Kya. It has been getting the objection from the doctor’s fraternity about changing its title as it appeared to be offensive to the people found in this category. But every time the objection was hurled, it did not create any buzz in the makers’ camp unless we saw the Censor Board objecting it and asking them to change for the same reason. The film though was applauded for its unique idea but was castigated for its title.
The film is all set to hit the screens on 26th July and the makers were supposed to release the trailer. However, it got canceled due to some technical issues and sources claimed that they were waiting for the response of the CBFC. Now, when the Censor Board has raised the objection on the plea of the body called Indian Psychiatrist Society we hear that the makers now have changed the title from Mental Hai Kya to Sentimental Hai Kya.
The Censor Board understood the objection raised by the said body as the film seems to have given ill-treatment to all those who belong to this category using the title Mental Hai Kya. The people suffering from the mental illness will find this title to be offensive or the people close to them would mind the same, hence the group has been objecting the title and has sent out their views to the Censor Board along with the makers. Now, with the Censor Board taking objection, the title is changed. The film has Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles.
