The #MeeToo Effect continues, and the man, TV actor Alok Nath who was under its garb is back in trouble. As per the latest news on the TV actor, an FIR has been filed by the lady author called Vinita Nanda who has alleged that the actor has raped her informed the Police Officer after the complaint was filed. Earlier, in this case, the Mumbai Session Court has rejected the plea from the actor’s wife seeking action against the author for the rape and sexual harassment false case. Mrs Alok Nath has appealed to the court that the author should be asked not to speak in the media about the issue and against the TV actor.
Later the TV actor had also filed a defamation case against the author when she has slapped the sexual harassment case against him. He asked a written apology from the author along with INR 1 for the same. The #MeeTOO campaign had taken an ugly turn when it grabbed many actors and others in its garb including the TV actor as well. It has hampered many including the suspension of his membership from the group – Cine And TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) for not explaining the issue before the executive committee in the month of October.
Also, the actor had refused to reply a notice issued by the Indian Film And Television Directors Association (IFTDA) asking him to explain the allegation of Ms Nanda. Later the lady author has explained how she was raped and sexually harassed by the actor over an FB post under the #MeToo story. Alok Nath has been known for his sanskari roles in TV and a number of movies in Bollywood and several TV shows on a small screen in India. He was alleged for the misconduct and sexual harassment against the TV actress Deepika Amin and Sandhya Mridul, and now has been brought in the case of rape by Vinita Nanda the known writer and producer.
