The directorial debut of Omung Kumar called Mary Kom of 2014 starring Priyanka Chopra had loads of applauds not just in India but all over the world. The movie has based on the life of three times world Boxing Champion – Mary Kom. The film made popular the boxing icon who led a life amidst darkness. Thus the biopic films are playing major role in unveiling the real heroes just in India but all across the world.
Now, we hear that the movie has bagged international accolades winning the best film in the prestigious Stockholm Film Festival. The movie was named in the said category in the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior in Sweden. The movie there was awarded with the prestigious award of Bronze Horse at the festival, which was presided by the jury, which comprises of the kids in between the age group 9 to 17 years. Apart from this award, the movie was even premiered at the known Toronto International Film Festival and soon would be shown in Sweden by the Indian Embassy at the upcoming Indian Film Festival in the upcoming month.
